Do you love Jesus ?

Do we truly love Jesus like we say we do? I believe love is manifested in actions more then speech you can be all talk but people need to see something to believe. In any relationship there needs to be some sort of proof that you care about the individual.

Like respecting boundaries, if my friends hates it when i wear green then if i truly love my friend i will not wear green because i respect him and love him, and the brotherly love that i have towards my friend i will have to show it helping him out, being there for him. if i said i loved him like a brother and did nothing he would have a hard time believing me because he does not see it , i show no signs of it ,if i do nothing for him and i dont respect him then where is that Love.

Same way all of us say we love Jesus but when we really look at our lives the Love is not there because if we did love Jesus like we say we did then we would be just like him truly Christ like , if we Loved God we would follow his rules. you can't love and not respect someones wishes or guide lines.

Only those who truly Loved God will enter the kingdom and you have to show love , express love , prove love.  when you look at things in this light it really starts to make sense how important it is to bear fruit in the Christians faith  we have to show our love when you stop showing love to someone the relationship dies slowly same with God if you stop showing him that you truly Love him your connection with him begins to die.

look at married people when they both stop showing love buying gifts spending time together just look at the atmosphere in the house DEAD ! same with your relationship with God if you stop showing him love and spending time with him DEAD ! DEAD! is the atmosphere !!!

so look people if you LOVE GOD show it , respect what he laid down for us.

Seek God When Making Decisions.

Someone reading this might be like why do i have to go to God before i make a decision? I have a PHD, I had a 4.0 GPA, I have Good finances why should i go to God some might be even more boastful and arrogant and say what do i need God for?

Now what you all to understand through this teaching right here is that we need to seek God for every decision because a little decision can turn into a giant problem. right now things seem fine why worry but you do not know what tomorrow holds. did you receive some sort of heavenly text messages telling you that go ahead its ok do what you want your all good. ? NO

In all decisions we must ask, we must see if the Lord is ok with it we must ask God how will things go if i make this decision is it safe to do this is it a Good thing if i engage in business with these people. Lets take a look at David King of Israel.

2 Samuel 5

¹⁷But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.

 ¹⁸The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

 ¹⁹And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.

 ²⁰And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.

 ²¹And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.

 ²²And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

 ²³And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.

 ²⁴And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.

 ²⁵And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.

So we see here that David was faced with a issue a decision and instead of going in head first like a unwise man he went and asked the Lord if it was ok, if he was going to win this battle. And the Lord said yes and the second time the Lord gave him a "game plan." That is how we should approach life the Lord will guide us if we ask him. Doing things without him is like driving in a next town in a next country with no GPS , yes you can ask around but you wont really understand what to do and where to go.

What We Want Is Not Always What We Get.

What do i mean by that statement? you see brothers and sisters we must understand in life its Gods will over everything. In our christian life it does not matter what we want because we chose to deny our selves and pick up our cross, that day when we accepted Jesus in our live and we said we wanted to follow him and we wanted to serve the Lord, our desires our ambitions all those things have to be thrown out the window in order to fulfill the will of the Father in our lives.

Because sometimes our plans and Gods plans are MILES apart , you were thinking one way but what God had in mind was one way different thing. We have to learn to trust him in every step of our lives because he knows the beginning and the end. Master of time and circumstances if tells you to do something do it because he knows why hes telling you to do it.

Proverbs 3  

⁵Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 

wise words spoken by Solomon in ever situation we must trust the Lord that he knows what he is doing , he is a Wise and Sovereign God who is always in Control. So in life with God we do not get what we always want because what we want is not always good for us.kind of like how kids what to eat candy all day long , yes the candy is good but to eat it all day long ? nope not Good so as a wise father is so is our God who watches over us and does not let us walk into things we can not handle.So i hope you all enjoyed this one leave a comment or email me @ pastorjoel.k@hotmail.com
