What Road are you on ?

Matthew 7:13-14 

 ¹³Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
 ¹⁴Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The bible is teaching us here that there is in a Sense two roads one is wide and one is narrow , one leads to life and the other onto destruction. The Narrow Road is the Christian Life style it is what leads you to Life.


People need to make a decision which road are you going to travel on yes the broad road is fun , lots of pleasure fulfilling all your carnal desires but it only leads you to destruction. to the place Jesus describes as there will be weeping and Gnashing of teeth.


you know its hard to get off that road since its so apealing to your Flesh but reader you need to realize this, your having fun for now but one day you will have to face the Lord and answer to him and he will Judge you.


Some say i will have fun now and serve God later James says in his book we are like vapors we come and Go , We all no tomorrow is not promised so why do we act like it we need to consecrate our selves to God and serve him. 

Deuteronomy 10:12-13 

 ¹²And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
 ¹³To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?


i hope that people will take heed to this message and really rethink theyre life and Choose to serve God.

The Good Samaritan. : pay attention to what i highlighted.

²²All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Where is your Faith ?

Luke 8:22-25 

 ²²Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
 ²³But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
 ²⁴And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
 ²⁵And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

you know we need to really trust God , you see in this story Jesus told his disciples "... Let us go..." , then as they were going there came a storm and they started to panic and then Jesus rebuked the winds and told them - Where is your faith?

Most people get from this story that they could have rebuked the winds themselves if they had faith , see what i got from this is this. Jesus told them LET US GO , that means the disciples and Jesus , they shouldnt have lost faith knowing that HE was with them , they should not have feared the storm knowing that the Son Of Almighty God was with them .

When God tells us to do something or we get a prophecy over our lives we should not loose faith in God we should not think that at any time we are going to fail because we know that he is with us, No matter what storm, war or person if they come against the mission the plan that God has for you know that they will not prevail, because that might hinder you for a minute but know that The LORD our God is on your side and that you will prevail. even if things seem like its impossible if God sent you know that he is with you.

Haggai 2:4

⁴Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

work on the mission he gave you because he is with you.

Its Sunday , Its Sunday

Hey everyone its another Sunday the end of the week, today should be a day where you really thank the LORD for everything he has done and if you really don't have a testimony thank him for the life he has given you , because people around the world die, some don't make it to the age you are at so you really need to have thanksgiving in your heart and praise the LORD on this day and thank him.


Psalm 150:6  "Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD, Praise ye the LORD."

Powerfull Message by Paul Washer

this is how i like the gospel to be preached powerfully and really straight to the point the reason i put this video up , is to wake people up because people don't know whats going on , people think that they can be Lazy Carnal Christians and enter the kingdom of Almighty GOD , its sad that people will realize things to late theres always people that realize things to late but we don't have to be one of them lets really learn from this message and start to change our lives because the day of The LORD will come like a thief , (2 peter 3:10)


got to tell it how its is even if they don't listen.  Ezekiel 2:7 " And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious. " 

A Testimony.

Another tidbit of Hope for yall.

You know hope is what a lot of us need today. Life is not always on you side if i can put it that way , we go through various things and some times you might look at what you had before how good it was and now your situation is not so Good ,  we go through that in life and you know i got a word for you.

you know the children of Israel went through alot mainly because of there Disobedience towards the LORD but when the Lord gave them a word that they would be getting free , set free they believed and stayed strong im going to go in Haggai Chapter 2:1-4 , this is something my father shared with me last night and its a powerful verse for all those who need encouragement.

Brief history now around this time The Children of Israel went back to see what it was like after being in captivity and when they went back they saw it in a horrible state.

Haggai 2

 ¹In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

 ²Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,

 ³Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

 ⁴Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: 

Now at this point , when the children of Israel went back to Jerusalem what they saw was horrendous the state that it was in they thought they could never rebuild the city , it was so bad that only the LORD could encourage them to go back and build .

Now the LORD says something important in verse 4 , " Yet now be strong,.." its something we all need to do through the hardest of times our old glory could be in such a horrible state that we dont even want to go back and start over but we need to be strong , we need to BE STRONG , the LORD goes on to say "... and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: "

we need to be strong and WORK for the lord is with us ,, when your situation is bad hearken to the voice of the Lord be in his will and WORK and you will see he will elivate you to what you where before and maybe even above that , just be strong and work thats what we need to do its all we can do. for he is with us . 

if god be for us who can be against us ?

Homosexuality

Now people, im posting this for everybody who might have a gay Christian friend who believes that The Almighty God , The Living God created him that way, now where going to go into Genesis and i will destroy that very unwise way of thinking , to me its stupid for a Christian first off to be Gay and then have the audacity to claim the Lord made them that way , well its not THERE fault Homosexuality is a spirit a STRONG one and they just need deliverance . now to destroy there claims blaming God for there sexual immorality. 


Genesis 1:26
" ²⁶And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness .... "


now why did i make such a strong emphasis on Likeness , because if you claim God made you that way then your basically saying he is also Gay because he made you in his likeness, if you understand that verse the Lord made us in his likeness! the verse goes on to say he gave us dominion ! now i wont get into that part but he made us in a way like him , so if someone claims that God made them that way there aslo saying inderectly that the God is gay , and we all know even they know that is very very very very wrong now. i guess ima just end here ill let your common sense reason with this its not hard , and the bible has verses on this subject that show straight up what the Lord thinks about this.




now ill write down a prayer for anybody who is suffering with this because it is a spirit and have faith in this prayer and continue to call on the Lord God to deliver you from this sick evil spirit.


" Father Lord , i pray in the name of Jesus for all who read this who are suffering from this spirit that they may receive deliverance ,  Father Lord may the Holy Ghost fire consume every single stronghold of the enemy in there lives may the spirit of Homosexuality be consumed in the mighty name of Jesus , Lord may all who read this may you touch there lives and put them on the path to healing and deliverance  may they be a living testimony may they praise thee , father Lord it is written in the word i call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised and i am saved from my enemies , father Lord let them call on you and save them from the grips of the enemy i speak FREEDOM and DELIVERANCE in there lives ,i thank you once again for this day Lord for all the things that you do in my and there lives you deserve to be praised ,  i prayed in the Mighty Name Of Jesus Christ Of Nazareth amen. "

Letting Go : Temptations and Relationships

Its hard to let go of certain things and people and the ironic thing they always come back and the feelings are stronger or weaker its always in Flux , and we all agree its annoying but you know as much as you want to dive back into those things you got to remember this word Jesus spoke 


Matthew 5:30
And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.


Wise words spoken by Jesus , its funny but it is reality if your arm or hand , foot or finger causes you to sin cut it off because its better to go to heaven with one arm then to get your whole body thrown in hell , so what does this mean , any thing that causes you to sin in life  you must cut it off and forget about it because its not helping you in anything in fact it could be damning you to the pits of hell.


you know we all have our little guilty sins but we need to mature and cut them off and see the bigger picture in Life , because yes its all fun now but how fun is it going to be burning in Eternal Fire , i always say The life we live is to determine where we will stay for eternity so we need to hold on to the word of God and apply it in our daily lives stay strong  and Endure all the things that can be thrown at us james 1: 1-4..


And for Relationships , really i wish i did some biblical research on this but ill tell you what i know. if someone is not helping you GROW in your faith and all he does is slow you down then you need to let go , you need to move on because you need to look at the big picture if someone is slowing you down it wont be long until you come to a complete stop. 


or lets put it like this : is it not hard to pull someone off the ground when your standing on a chair ? well thats how it is when your in a relationship where Christ it not the base of it , it is easier for the person to pull you down then you to pull him up .
and some people always try and bring people to Christ a "project Relationship" but what you need to realize is that if God wants him to come to him he will pull him , Himself .

but really its hard you know , you might even LOVE this person you might be so attached to this person but if he causes your to stumble if he doesnt help you in any way with your faith then hey its byebye.


you know my boy Emmanuel Asman always quotes this oart in the bible i wish i knew where it was , if anybody is not willing to give up there mother and father for me (jesus) then he is not worhty of me - i think thats how it goes sorry for my bad memory :p 


but see if your not willing to Give up your mother your father for Jesus then you are not worthy of him same goes for a relationship people , this be the truth ya heard!

Everyday struggle.

Everybody knows that saying " What doesn't kill me will make me stronger" well i agree with that but lets take it with the Bible. But first let me talk for a bit , you know we go through so many things in life so many struggles so many battles, so many tears shed we loose friends and family. Life has its ups and down and some times we don't know why we go through so many things or why this is such a strong issue for us .
What we need to understand The Lord God Almighty has plans of hope for us and we need to gird up are loins and get ready for the long haul. Look at he lives of all the people in the bible theyre lives were not so easy they had to wait Way longer for a blessing then we do these days. Like the children of Israel 40years in the desert before entering the promise Land. Abraham was around 99 or something when he got The Promise child Isaac, and take a look at Joseph he went through a roller coaster of a ride before he got to where God wanted him to be.

We need to be really optimistic when it comes to the things of God.  Habakuk 2:3 ³For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.


It is what it is , Maybe you wondering will there be a brighter day in my life and for those who are waiting on God to do something in there life those who know they have a calling but the situation isnt what you would like it to be , i say this stay strong because Jeremiah 29:11 teaches us God has plans of hope for us and not evil , And everything we Go through is going to make us perfect for the position God wants to Give us when it is time for it to happen.


James 1:1-4
 ¹James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings.

 ²Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
 ³knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
 ⁴And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing


you know we should rejoice when we go through certain things because we know that when the time comes we will be Complete and Lacking in nothing for our position , so all these struggles we go through Praise the Lord , all the trial Praise the Lord.

1 Corinthians 10:13 

 ¹³There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.


And God is so good he wont let you be tempted beyond your limits , any kind of temptation thrown at you know that he allowed it to come your way in a sense because he knows you can over come it and when you do , you become stronger .


we should really praise the lord for all the things we go through because with our eyes we cant see the big picture but God see's the big picture he knows what he is doing for he is Almighty God , All powerful and wonderful .

Message of Hope & Change

This Youth Sunday April 25th the theme of it all will be Hope & Change
What i mean by that is people need to be uplifted , people need to know there is hope
because some of us are going through certain things in our life and we need to understand that
there is hope and its in Jesus Christ. We tend to Forget Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
The Message i want to get across is that what ever people are going through the Lord god has thoughts of peace and not of evil . And the Change part will focus on waking up a revival in the youth because we are in the last days and Jesus is coming back Soon !

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

that is going to be the focus of Youth Sunday April 25th.

Jeremiah 29:11

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

 

Build Yourself - Pastor Joel Kasweka

Now lets start by reading 1 Samuel 16 verses 1 to 13 so open your bibles.

now the part that i want you all to really sink your selves in with is verses 12 and 13

12 " So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy , with beautiful eyes and a hansdome appearance. And the lord said, "Arise , anoint him; for this is he"
13"then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward, And Samuel arose and went to Ramah"

, so i bet your asking what does this have to do with "building My Self" , From the moment Samuel Anointed David as the new King he entered the Waiting period and when your waiting on god to accomplish his prophecy build your self ! because if you don't build your self to the way god wants you to be the prophecy the vision that was given about you will tarry because the relationship with you and God is 50/50 what ever you put in he puts in at the same level.

Now how do we build our selves ? now theres many ways one of them is through Trials and tribulation

James chapter 1 verse 2-4 says

"2 Consider it all joy , my brethren, when you encounter various trials,3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete lacking in nothing"

when ever you encounter rough times now that what ever is going on in the end god will be glorified and what ever comes your way and you OVER come it you have gained wisdom , you have gained understanding a trial shouldnt be seen as something horrible think of it as a test like verse 3 said and out of every test you learn something because what ever god has called you to be you will endure trials that will help you gain what you need to be complete and perfect lacking of nothing at the position he wants you to be .

Build your self and let god build you !

While your waiting build your self to the level god wants you to be at when these trials tribulation come remember to praise the lord because in all things he is glorified and he allows these things to come your way because he knows you can over come them and you shall learn something from them . he would not let you go through something you cant over come so when he allows these things to come your way its to build you now when they come Over come them because if god has faith in you that he can allow these things to come then you can do it .
(1 Thessalonians 5:18 remember to give thanks to the lord )

let me use analogy here be like a potter a architect now you can just have the perfect masterpiece just like that now you have to work out the kinks work out the flaws because if there is something needs to be changed and its through trials and prayer that can work these out so you can have the perfect product because when the appointed time comes god wants you to be prefect lacking in nothing for your position


now that you understand that you have to build up your endurance and mind you need to build the spirit if your not at the spiritual level needed god will not be able to complete the vision and you will have to wait even longer

1 thessalonians 5 17 says "pray without ceasing"
thats how we do it PRAY pray pray if you want to build up your spirit pray alot and if you can pray in tongues you have a great key because its direct communication with god , build up the annointing people praying is a great key in the waiting period because you need to be at that spiritual level to be effective at the position god has given you.

Through the praying you start to gain retrieve gifts of the holy spirit that you need to be strong and to do the work god has given to you powerfully only through prayer can the spirit be built to the level you need the more you pray the more your spirit becomes strong and your bridge to god be comes stronger the communication with you and him will be immense if you take time to pray


another key is humble your self during the waiting period dont boast .. hebrews 6:15

god will build you and give you what you need mentally spiritually now let him build you and you also help him by also building yourself .

Youth Sunday April 25th 2010

Hey there people this is Pastor Joel ,

on April 25th at Burhamthorpe Community Center.

Youth Sunday is a day where we invite youth from all over and we share the Word Of God.
