Set your Affection on things above

Colossians 3 : 1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

What i want to speak about today is something we all need to start doing we need to focus on things that will help us grow spiritually, things that will help us grow in the faith. Often times we tend to focus more on things of this world like swag, money, and technology.

Sometimes we are so focused on getting that new phone that new car that new swag that we forget that we have to set our affections on the things above. the enemy uses the things of this World to distract us from what is truly important which is our relationship with God with Jesus Christ. 

1 John 2:

 ¹⁵Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.


if your mind is set on the things of this world you do not love God , if you're more focused on you're swag and the latest phone then praying, Reading your Word and fasting  you do not have the love of God in you.
